A topic important to most people is their skin, especially as we get older and our skin dries out more. As you might be aware, camping activities can even make dry skin that much worse. Whether you want to hang out at the beach, or go hiking in the west, the sun will dry out your skin. That’s why its important to have a good daily routine to moisturize your skin.Other factors that may dry out your skin when camping is the water you use. Even if you have a filtration system on your water system, different parks draw water from different sources, and therefore variations to the chemicals that touch you skin. In addition to this, many people dry camp and when doing so minimize their daily cleansing routine to meet their water usage. However, I find that a daily routine will keep you and your skin healthier. Dry skin can age you while moisturized skin will help keep your skin looking young. I recommend drinking lots of water to hydrate you skin within. Then, you need to regularly hydrate you skin externally. There are many products that will work, and you need to choose the one best for you.I use and recommend Vaseline products. I personally use Vaseline Intensive care lotion, as I find that it is not greasy like some other products I have used. Additionally, it is enriched with vitamin E which is said to promote healthy skin I have dry skin and the whole Vaseline lotion product line works for me. My two other favorite lotions are: the Vaseline Aloe Soothe and Vaseline Cocoa Radiant. I do feel these products work well for cracked or damage skin, without that greasy feeling. I recommend you take care of yourself when camping, glamping, or full time. Living in a small place is no excuse for not taking care of yourself and your body. Part of stress free living is feeling your best. So moisturize now, so you can go out and play later.Disclaimer: Some links may be affiliate links. So, one of the hardest things I find to maintain when glamping, are my fingernails. When I am home, I know where to go, who does a good job and who does not. However, when you are in a strange town, or after traveling a while, let’s be real our fingernails don’t look so good.Well, finally I got an answer to that. A friend turned me on to Color Street nail polish strips. I have tried glue on nails in the past without much luck, as the glue would come undone, and the nail fall off. If it was the strips, the edges would start coming up in 2 or 3 days or the strip started coming up in 2 or 3 days. I admit to being hard on my nails. So, when my friend told me about Color Street I was doubtful, but hey, they worked. The last Color Street strip I used was “All Wild UP” here is a link https://amzn.to/3zceGlg I am hard on my nails and these strips do seem to strengthen my nails and are very durable. I am looking forward to getting some for the upcoming holiday, I debating on which one of these two I should get for the July 4th holiday: https://amzn.to/3v1T8ocFlagtime Girl or https://amzn.to/3pwSSwvor Crantastic Red. Let me know what you think! -Marie B
My husband and I were in Walmart having just finished putting a Blackstone Grill in our cart. As we were moving towards the food section, there on the end cap was an RV of some sort. On further inspection it was an eye shadow palette and the case was shaped like an RV, thus my inspiration for this written piece.
Glamping, a term created for us those who were not thrilled with the idea of unkempt hair and a face with no make up. Full disclosure here, I rarely wear makeup. Going out I like to change things up with a little mascara but that's it. But hey, I mean Milani eyeshadow in a camping case how can you resist it?
Not what I expected my first Hodge Podge to be but I get excited about anything to do with glamping and this advertising ploy worked! I stopped to look at it, touched it and thought about buying it, even though I don't wear it. I hope one of my readers might get it and take a picture of the inside and post it!...please...
